WBUT / MAKAUT:
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University (MAKAUT), West Bengal formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The Government of West Bengal set up an expert committee on 1998 for establishment of an Engineering / Technology University in the state of West Bengal. The University came into operation formally with the assumption of the Office of the First vice Chancellor on January 2001. The basic objective of the University shall be to organized Undergraduate course of study in Engineering and Technology, especially in emerging areas, Post Graduate programmes in Sciences, Engineering, Technology and management education with a view to producing Scientist, Technologist and Managers of High Caliber, capable of contributing towards the Development of Industries. The University is also to develop Centre of Excellence for Higher studies and Research in the above area. We Intend to create and disseminate knowledge to help to transform out country in to acknowledge society.

PGET 2017:
Through PGET 2017 Indian Citizen Admission to Post Graduate Courses in Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy in MAKAUT, WB in House and Colleges Afflicted to MAKAUT, WB (PGET 2017). Admission will be through an entrance test (PGET) for all candidates including the GATE / GPAT qualified candidates. Due weightage will be given to valid GATE / GPAT score and previous academic performance while preparing the Merit List.  The PGET Board as constitute by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of technology, West Bengal is the sole authority to conducted the Examination and Declare the Results. As decided by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, admission to Post Graduate course in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy in such institutions will be as per merit List prepared through PGET followed by Counselling.

Details of PGET 2017 Examination:
The Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) will consist of a single paper in the opted Stream. It will be of 2 Hours duration. Each paper will have a total of 100 marks with 100 MCQs of 1 mark each. Each paper will have a general Component of 20 marks of English and Aptitude in Logical / Reasoning power and 30 marks for Mathematics, Basic Science & Engineering Sciences. The remaining 50 marks will be on the topics chosen. Details of Scheme and Syllabus for PGET 2017 Examination is given below

Process of Downloading Admit Card:
Candidates required to Download their Application Form in official portal www.wbut.ac.in or Direct Link. Candidates required to Submit Correct Form No / Name and Date of Birth for providing their Admit Card. Date of PGET 2017 Examination will be announced shortly.
