Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) :
The RTE 2009 directs the State to ensure the quality requirement for recruitment of teachers. The persons recruited as Teachers should posses the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at all levels of Schooling. KTET is an examination to access the quality of teacher candidates for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School Classes in Kerala.
K-TET For :
Category I Kerala TET Examination - for Lower Primary Classes Teacher.
KTET Category II Examination - for Upper Primary Classes Teacher.
Kerala TET Category III Examination - for High School Classes Teacher.
Category IV KTET Examination - for Language Teacher (up to Upper Primary Classes), Specialist Teacher (Art & Crafts) and Physical Education Teacher.

K-TET I - 05.11.2016 (10 am to 12.30 pm).
KTET II - 05.11.2016 (2 pm to 04.30 pm)
KTET III - 19.11.2016 (10 am to 12.30 pm).
K-TET IV - 19.11.2016 (2 pm to 4.30 pm).
Qualifying Marks - A person who scores 60% of more in te K-TET Examination will be considered KTET passed or Kerala TET Qualified. Relaxation of 5% of marks will be allowed to the candidate who belonging to SC / ST, OBC and differently abled categories, Visually impaired candidates who have not less than 40% of disability are allowed to 10% relaxation for acquiring K-TET.

A fully computerized system is adopted for the evaluation for the answer script using optical mark reader (OMR) for the preparation of the results.
The Answer Keys of all the papers (paper-I / Paper-II / Paper-III / Paper-IV) will be published on the official website of Pareeksha Bhavan immediately after the examination. Complaints if any from candidates, regarding the answer keys may be sent to the Secretary, Pareeksha Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram in writing within 5 working days from the date of publication of the answer keys. Complaints not substantiated with supporting documents will not be considered . Complaints if any, received from the candidate will be placed before a panel of experts constituted by the Secretary.
Pareeksha Bhavan, and the decision of the experts shall be final. Complaints received after five working days from the date of publication of keys will not be entertained.
The Secretary, Pareeksha Bhavan is authorized to exclude from evaluation of any questions found to be wrong or question with answer not appropriate as recommended by the panel of experts. Marks to the excluded questions must be added for evaluation. When question is are excluded from evaluation the mark allotted to that question will also be excluded from a valuation.
Since the valuation will be made error free under the above system, there is no provision for revaluation of rechecking of the answer scripts or recounting of the marks scored.
The details of the marks and the eligibility status secured by all the candidates appeared for K-TET will be published in the website of Pareeksha Bhavan. Those candidates declared passed shall produce the required documents in original for verification to the District Educational Officer concerned for the issue of K-TET certificate.
Candidates whore declared qualified will be awarded a certificate by the Secretary, Pareeksha Bhavan, Poojappura, Thiruvanthapuram on behalf of Govt. of Kerala, after verification of the original education qualification certificates by the DEO Concerned. The Qualified candidates should submit the original educational qualification certificates to the District Educational Officer concerned for verification to ascertain that they are eligible to apply for the examination on the date of application. The Date of the submission of the Original Qualification Certificate Verification / Document Verification to the District Educational Officers will be intimated later through Medias after the publication of result. Separate certificates will be awarded to those candidates who appear and qualify for more than on category. However the statement of marks of all the candidates appearing KTET shall be made available on the website of Pareeksha Bhavan. The pass certificate will be issued to the K-TET qualified candidates only those who have the educational qualification to apply for the examination prescribed in the prospectus on the date of application.
If the candidates are not received the KTET pass certificate from the District Educational Officers concerned in time, the same may be kept in the office of the DEO itself and the certificate may be released with a report with a request of the candidate by imposing a fine as detailed below as per Government. Candidates Claim after 3 months pay Rs. 100, candidates Claim after 6 months pay Rs.300, Candidates claim after 1 year pay Rs.500.
The amount in this account should be remitted in the form of demand draft in favour of the Secretary, Pareeskabhavan payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
Cash Award for the Toppers :
Cash award will be distributed to the first three candidates who secure above 80% of marks for each category. The rank holders will get Rs.20000/, Rs.15000/ and Rs.10000/ respectively for each categories. If anybody have not secure marks above 80% the candidate who secure marks from 75% to 80% will be considered and the top among will get Rs.10000/ for each category. List of candidates of such winner will announce at the time of declaration of result and award will be distributed accordingly.
