Details of Posts:
SSC Recruitment 2017 to the post of Constable (GD) in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NIA and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. Details of Vacancy is available after publication official full advertisement. The total number of vacancy of Constable (GD) to be filled through SSC Constable (GD) Exam 2017.

Scale of Pay:
Pay Band-I, Rs.5200 to s.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2000/.

Age Limit:
Candidates required age should be between 18 years to 23 years as on 01.08.2017. Candidates should note that only the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
Upper age relaxation is applicable up to 5 years for SC / ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates. The upper age limit for Ex Service man category & person with disability & others candidates is applicable as per government rules.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or th pass from a recognized Board / University.

Physical Standard:
Height - For Male (170 cms) & Female (157  cms).
Chest - For Male (Unexpanded 80 cms) & (Expanded 5 cms).
Weight - For Male sand Female candidates proportionate to height and age as per medical Standard.

Relaxation of Height:
The minimum height of candidates failing in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dorgas, Marathas and candidates belonging to the State of Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir will be 165 cms for males and 155 cms for females. The minimum height for all candidates belonging Scheduled Tribes will be 162.5 cms for males and 150 cms for females.
The minimum height will be 162.5 cms for males and 152.5 cms for females for the candidates hailing from the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura and candidates hailing from Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) comprising of the three sub division of darjeeling District.
The minimum height for all Scheduled Tribes candidates hailing from the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura and left wing extremism affected district will be 160 cms for Males and 147.5 cms for females.

Relaxation of Chest:
The minimum chest of male candidates failing in the categories of garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir will be 78 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion). The minimum chest for all male candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be 76 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion).
The minimum chest of male candidates hailing from North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) as mentioned above will be 77 cms unexpanded (with minimum 5 cms expansion).

Selection Procedure:
Selection of Candidates will be based on Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test & Medical Examination.
Physical Standard Test (PST) - All candidates applying for the recruitment and prima facie eligible will be called to appear in Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test at places finalized by the Commission in consultation with the CAPFs. Details scrutiny of their eligibility will not be undertaken before PST. The Height, Weight & Chest will be measured through electronic gadgets.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Candidates who are found eligible on height parameters will undergo PET (Race) followed by bio-metric identification & screening of testimonials and thereon chest and weight measurement by a board. For Male candidates (5 kms in 24 minutes) / for Female candidates (1.6 kms in 8.30 minutes). For candidates belongs to Ladakh Region Male candidates (1 mile in 6.30 minutes) / For Female candidates (800 meters in 4 minutes).
Written examination - The commission will conducted written examination of candidates qualified in PST / PET in both online and offline mode. Details of written examination will be announced shortly.
Medical Examination - This is last part of selection process.

Application Fee:
Candidates required to pay application fees for all unreserved category candidates. Application fees is paid through Offline (Bank Challan Deposit in Cash Counter) or Online (using Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking) facility. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance. All women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Physically Handicapped (PH) and Ex Serviceman eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government rules.
