Details of Course & Seat Reservation:
Admission to the Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) course in the University of Calcutta, Department of Education, Alipur Campus
Reservation of seats for B.Ed Admission (only for fresher category)- 80% seats for Calcutta University candidates & 20% for Other University candidates.
Reservation of Seats for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Person with Disability (PWD) will be as follows - 22% for SC candidates, 6% for ST candidates & 3% for PWD candidates.

Seat Capacity & Method Subject:
Total Seats capacity is 50 (for Deputed Candidates 25 seats & Fresher Candidates 25 seats). More details of seats capacity as per subject wise is given below -
The following method subject are offered from this Department, University of Calcutta,m, duly approved by the University authority. Method subject in Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Mathematics, History, Geography, Economics, Accountancy and Book Keeping, Education, Political Science, Hindi, Urdu & Arabic.

Age limit:
For fresher students (General category) maximum 40 years as on 30th June.
For Deputed students (general category), no age limit.
Age limit is relaxable for maximum 5 years for students belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Fresher candidates - At least 50% marks either Bachelor Degree and / or Master Degree in Science / Humanities / Social Science or bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent there to are eligible for admission. The relaxation of marks is 5% (Minimim 45% in Bachelor Degree / Master Degree or 50% in B.E) for SC, ST & PWD candidates.
For Deputed candidates - Teachers teaching in classes IX to XII only can apply as Deputed Teacher. selection of Deputed Teacher of High Secondary / Secondary School / Madrasah afflicted to WBBSE / WBBME will be made on the basic of the period of approved services in the School / Madrasah.

Selection Process:
Fresher (Non Deputed) candidates will be selected on the basic of Academic Merit only. Weight-age given for Academic performance and calculation of Grade Marks are as follows -
Ph.D / D.Phil (5 marks) or M.Phil (3 marks).
2 Year PG Degree in School Subject - 30 marks.
Bachelor Degree with Honours / Special Honours / major Subject / B.E / B.Tech (30 marks) or Bachelor Degree with Pass / General (10 marks).
High Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent - 20 marks.
Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent - 10 marks.

Application Fees:
Application Fees is Rs.300 for General Candidates and Rs.150 for SC / ST / PWD candidates. Candidates payment application fees through at www.onlinesbi.com online payment through Internet Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card or Offline payment through Bank Challan at any State Bank branches.

Fill Up Application Form Carefully & Completely.

Payment Application Fees:
Final Submission (After Final Submission of the form user cannot modify any data).

Document Submission:
Document to be submitted to the Office of the Secretary, Alipore Campus, University of Calcutta. Details of Document with the Printed Copy of the Application Form (both Fresher & Deputed candidates) is below -

Acknowledgement Slip.
Copy of e-receipt downloaded from Payment History under State bank Collect.
Self Attested true copies of Mark Sheet of all the examination passed (10th standard onwards).
Proof of Date of Birth certificate (or madhyamik Admit Card).
SC / ST / PWD certificate, if applicable.
Deputed teacher will have to submit with application form - Approval letter of the concerned District Inspector of School, Appointment letter, Joining letter in School, managing Committee resolution copy countersigned by the D.I (Approved).
Released order from school duty signed by the Head Master / Secretary / Administrator will be submitted at the time of admission.
