Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have passed High Secondary Examination under (10+2) pattern or its equivalent, subject to fulfilment of the requirements for subject combination marks in respect of the department concerned as shown as below -
Chinese (Honours) - 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in English for General Candidates / 54% marks in aggregate and 54% marks in English for OBC candidates.
Japanese Honours - 60% marks in aggregate & General English and Japanese subject for General category candidates / 54% marks in aggregate & general English and Japanese subject for OBC Category candidates.
Japanese (Prep.) followed by Hons - 60% marks in aggregate and General English subject for General category / 54% marks in aggregate and 54% marks in General English subject for OBC candidates .
Indo-Tibetan (Honours) - 55% marks in aggregate and English and one paper in Tibetan for General category candidates / 49.5 marks in aggregate and English and one paper in Tibetan for OBC candidates.
Indo-Tibetan (Prep.) followed by Honours - 50% marks in aggregate and English for General candidates /
Bengali Honours - 60% marks in aggregate and Bengali subject for General candidates / 54% marks in aggregate and Bengali for OBC candidates.
English Honours - 75% marks in aggregate & general English subject for General category candidates / 67.5% marks in aggregate & General English subject for OBC Category candidates.

Comparative Religion - 55% marks in aggregate for General candidates / 49.5% marks in aggregate for OBC candidates.
Economics - 55% marks in aggregate & pass marks in Mathematics or Business Math or Business Economics for General Candidates / 50% marks in aggregate & pass marks in Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Business Economics for OBC candidates.
Geography - 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in Geography with pass marks in Economics / Statistics or Mathematics for General category / 54% marks in aggregate and 54% marks in Economics / Statistics or Mathematics for OBC category.
History - 60% in aggregate and 60% marks in History for General category / 54% in aggregate and 60% marks in subject for General candidates.
Philosophy - 60% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in Philosophy or 65% marks in aggregate for General candidates / 54% marks in aggregate and 45% in Philosophy or 59% marks in aggregate for OBC category posts.

Application Fees:
Application fee for first subject is Rs.150 for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs.500 for all other candidates.
For each additional subject an additional application fee of Rs.75 for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs.200 for all other candidates.
Candidates can make payment Online using any of the Online payment methods of Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, Cash Card, Payment through Mobiles.
In case a candidate does not have access to an Online payment method he or she can deposit the required amount at the different HDFC branches using a Bank Challan generated online.

How to Apply:
Candidates have to apply through Online application system (vbu.ucanapply.com/entrance). The online application allows the candidate to provide all information and also to upload scanned Photograph and Signature.
