Through West Bengal College Service Commission State Eligibility Exam 2018 appointment to the Assistant Professor in different subject as per given choice -

Vacancy Details:
The vacancy calculation shall be done in accordance with the terms laid down in the West Bengal College Service Commission (manner of Selection of Persons for Appointment to the posts of Assistant Professor and re-recommendation of Assistant Professor) regulation. The vacancy cut off date and the exact number of all vacancies (subject wise, category wise & college wise) will be notified before publication of the merit panel. The commission will not be responsible for absence of vacancy under any category of any subject for non receipt of requisition any Government aided college.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in Master Degree or equivalent examination from university / institution recognized by UGC in a relevant subject are eligible for 20th State Eligibility Test (SET) 2017. The OBC belonging non creamy LAYER / Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) & Person with Disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in Master degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this exam.
Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualyfing Masters Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been delayed may also apply for this test. However such candidates shall be considered eligible for Assistant Professor only after they have passed their Masters Degree examination with required marks (for General candidates 55% and reserved category candidates 50%).
The Ph.D degree holders whose masters level examination had been complete by 19th September 1991 (in respect of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks for appearing in SET (from 55% to 50%).

Age Limit:
Their is no upper age limit for appearing at the WB SET 2018 / 20th State Eligibility Test. However for the purpose of recruitment, the relevant Government order will be applicable.

Application Fees & Mode of Payment:
Application Fees is Rs.1000 for General candidates or Rs.500 for SC / ST / OBC (Non Creamy layer) / PWD candidates. The candidates may pay the examination fee either by Online (through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking ) or through E-Challan generated during the online submission of the application form. In case of e-challan, the payment should be made at any Branch of the United Bank of India in India (Extra Bank Charges Rs.40 plus Service tax as applicable). In case the examination fee is paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking the additional processing charges as following will also be debited from the credit card / debit card / bank account of the candidate.

Scheme of Examination:
The test will consist of three papers. All the 3 papers will consist of only objective type question and will be held on 3rd December 2017 in three separate session -
First Session Paper I (9.30 am to 10.45 am) - 100 marks (50 out of which 60 questions to be attempted).
Second Session Paper II (11.15 am to 12.30 pm) - 100 marks (50 questions all are compulsory).
Third Session Paper III (2 pm to 4.30 pm) - 150 marks (75 question all are compulsory).

20th SET Examination Centre:
The test centres are likely to be at Kolkata, South 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly, North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Burdwan, Asansol, Birbhum, Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, Murshidabad, Bankura, Purulia, Malda, Uttar Dinajpur, Siliguri, Alipurduar and Coochbehar. The centres may be changed at the discretion of the Commission. However the candidates are not allowed to change their option for Test centre of their own.
