West Bengal Minority Development Corporation Limited (WBMDFC) post matric scholarship scheme for meritorious students from minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsee). The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a Government or Private Higher Secondary School / College / University, including such residential institutes of the Government and eligible private institutes selected and notified in a transparent manner by the State Government / Union Territory. Scholarship for - Post Matric level (Class 11th to Ph.D Level).
Eligibility Criteria - Minimum 50% marks at Previous Final Exam.

Scope of Scholarship:
The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private higher secondary school / college / university, including such residential institutes of the Government and eligible private institutes selected and notified in a transparent manner by the State Government / Union Territory Administration concerned. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes / Industrial Training Centres afflicted with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes XI and XII level.

Conditions for Scholarship:
Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents / guardian from all source does not exceed Rs.2 lakhs unlike scholarship for SC and ST, there are a fixed number of scholarship for minorities and hence preference for selection has been laid down.
The award will be discontinued if a student fails to secure 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination scholarship will not be awarded for more the a normal period of time taken to obtain certificate / Degree / M.Phil Degree / Doctorate Degree.  
Scholarship will not be given to more than 2 family members of family.
The student obtaining stipend under this scholarship scheme shall not be allotted to avail of other scholarship benefits from State Government / Union Territory for the same purpose.

Selection Procedure:
Unlike scholarships for SC and ST, there are a fixed number of scholarships for minorities is small and limited . Students from BPL families, having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order. The renewal applications would be fully exhausted before the new applications are considered.

Scholarship Amount:
Actual financial assistance will be provided for admission & courses / tuition fee and maintenance allowances as given below subject to a maximum ceiling indicate against item concerned -
Admission and tuition Fee for classes XI and XII - Rs.7000 per annual (for Hosteler) / Rs.7000 (Day Scholars).
Admission and course / tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of XI and XII level (Includes fee / charge for raw materials) - Rs.10000 per annual (for Hosteler) / Rs.10000 per annual (for Day Scholar).
Admission and tuition fee for under graduate, Post Graduate - Rs.3000 per annual (for Hosteler) / Rs.3000 per annual (for Day Scholar).
Maintenance allowance for 10 months only in an academic year -
For Classes XI and XII including technical and vocational courses of this level - Rs.380 per months (for Hosteler) / Rs.230 per annual (for Day Scholar).
Courses other than Technical and Professional courses at Under-Graduate and post Graduate Level - Rs.570 per annual (for Hosteler) / Rs.300 per months (for Day Scholar).
M.Phil and Ph.D - Rs.1200 per months (for Hosteler) / Rs.550 for Day Scholar).

Renewal of Scholarship:
The scheme will be announced by the concerned State Government will in time, through advertisements in the leading language newspaper and local dailies and by using other suitable publicity media.

Institution Verification Form (Mandatory).
Self declaration of Income Certificate by the student (Mandatory).
Self attested Certificate of Previous Academic Mark Sheet as filled in the form (Mandatory for Fresh candidate).
Self attested Certificate of Previous Year Mark-sheet as filled in the Form (Mandatory for Renewal Candidates).
Fee Receipt of current course year (Mandatory).
Account of Bank in the Students Name (Mandatory).
Aadhar Card (Optional).
Residential Certificate (Mandatory).

Application Procedure:
The scheme in implemented through National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It is mandatory for all students to apply online on the website of www.scholarships.gov.in.
