Details of Posts and Vacancy:
ITBP Police Recruitment 2018 for Constable (Telecom) Posts. Total post of vacancy is 218 posts.
For Male candidates - Total 185 Posts (UR 93, SC 28, ST 14, OBC 50).
For Female candidates - Total 33 posts (UR 17, SC 5, ST 2, OBC 9).

Pay Scale & Other allowances:
Level 3 in the Pay matrix, Rs.21700 - 69100 (as per 7th CPC). The post will carry Dearness Allowances, Ration Money, Dress allowances while posted in admissible from time to time, Special Compensatory Allowances while posted in specified border areas, free uniform, free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowances, Free leave pass and any other allowances as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules / instructions. They will be covered under New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme.

Educational Qualification:
Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Diploma or Certificate Course from an Industrial Training Institute or any other recognized Institution is desirable qualification.

Age Limit & Relaxations:
Candidates required age should be between 18 to 23 years as on 27th November 2018.
Candidates applying for this post should not have been born earlier than 28/11/1995 and not later than 27/11/2000.
The upper age limit is relaxable for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Serviceman and other categories of persons in accordance with the Government orders on the subject.
Candidates should note that only the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation certificate available on the date of submission of application will be accepted for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
Age relaxation available to different category of eligible candidates, for claiming Age relaxation are as under -
For SC / ST candidates - up to 5 years.
For OBC candidates - up to 3 years.
For Ex-servicemen (after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age) - 3 years for UR, 8 years for SC / ST candidates, 6 years for for OBC candidates.
Government servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 - 5 year for UR, 10 years for SC / ST, 8 years for OBC.
Children and dependent of victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat - 5 years for UR, 10 years for SC / ST, 8 years for OBC.

Physical Standards:
For all States and Union Territories - Height 170 cm for (Male), 157 cm for Female, Chest 80-85 cms for male candidates only.
For candidates belonging Remote Area - Height 165 cm for (Male), 155 cm for Female, Chest 78-83 cms for Male candidates only.
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) - Height 162.5 cm for Male, 150 cm for Female, Chest 76-81 for male candidates only.

Selection Process:
The recruitment to the post of Constable (Telecom) will comprise of following phases. However, ITBP reserves the right to change sequence of the recruitment process due to administrative reasons.
Phase I (Physical Efficiency Test) - The events of the PET are the follows, For Male candidates (1.6 Km race to be completed within 7.30 minutes, 11 Feet long jump, 3.5 feet High Jump). For Female candidates (800 meter race to be completed within 4.45 minutes, 9 feet Long jump and 3 feet high jump).
Phase II (Physical Standard Test) - Candidates who qualify the PET will be screened for Height, Chest and Weight measurements. Those who do not meet the required physical measurements as applicable will be eliminated at this stage.
Written Test (The written test may be OMR based or Computer based at the discretion of ITBP) - The candidates who qualify PET & PST will have to appear in written examination. Fresh admit cards to the candidates, who qualify for the written test will be issued online by mentioning the date & venue of the written test with a clear and legible print out of their online admit card. A list of candidates qualified for written test will also be uploaded on ITBP website. The written test will be as under -
The written test will consist of OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a Blue or Blacl Ball pen only, or Computer based objective type multiple type choice questions at the discretion of ITBP.
The question paper will be set bilingually in Hindi and English.
Pattern of question paper will be as under -
General English 15 question (15 marks), General Hindi 15 marks (15 questions), General Awareness 15 questions (15 marks), Reasoning ability 20 questions (20 marks), Quantitative aptitude 30 marks (30 questions).
Total 100 questions (Objective type), Maximum marks 100, Time period 2 hours (120 minutes).
The questions for written test shall be of 10th standard.

Application Fee & Mode of Payment:
Male candidates belonging to General (UR) or OBC category applying for recruitment should pay Rs.100 as application fee through online payment gateway system on www.recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. Application received with any other mode of fee payment will be summarily rejected. Fees are exempted for females, Ex serviceman and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category.

Candidates are advised to fill the application form after reading the instructions carefully.
The application must be submitted online only. No application will be accepted offline. Candidature of the candidate who submitted application offline will be rejected summarily.
At first visit on above portal then click on Register Yourself (for new application) other wise Log in with (Registration number and password).
Fill up application carefully and completely.
Upload scanning documents of photograph and signature.
Pay the Examination fees.
Verify & submit.
Take a print out of application form.
