Constables (Male) in West Bengal Police in the Pay Scale of Rs.5400 - 25200 (Pay Band 2) plus Grade Pay Rs.2600.
Age Limit & Relaxation:
The applicant must not be less than 18 years old and must not be more than 27 years old as on 01.01.2019. The upper age limit shall be relaxed for the SC / ST applicants of West Bengal only by 5 years and OBC applicants of West Bengal only by 3 years. The upper age limit is also relaxable for NVF and Home Guards Personnel (serving in West Bengal Police only) as per existing Government Rules. However age relaxation is not available to Civic Volunteers.
Educational Qualification and Language:
The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination (10th) from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
The applicant must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language. However this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
i. Candidates of all categories (except Gorkhas, garhwalies, Rajbanshis and ST) - Height minimum 167 cm, Weight minimum 57 Kg and Chest 78 cms (without expansion) and 83 cms (with expansion).
ii. Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes - Height minimum 160 cm, Weight 53 Kg and Chest 76 cms (without expansion) and 81 cms (with expansion).
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Candidates who qualify in PMT (Physical Measurement Test) will be allowed to take part in PET which consist of 1600 meters run within 6 Minutes 30 Seconds.
Selection of Candidates will be based on Preliminary Written Test (100 marks), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Written Examination (85 marks) and Interview (15 marks).
Application Fees & Processing Fee:
(All categories except Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (of West Bengal only) - Total Fee Rs.170 (Application Fees Rs.150 and Processing Fee Rs.20).
Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates of West Bengal - Total Fee Rs.20 (Processing Fee Rs.20).
Applicants belonging to the Scheduled caste / Scheduled Tribe (of West Bengal only) shall pay processing fees of Rs.20 only as they are exempted from paying any application fees. However, shortlisted candidates are required to procedure their SC / ST certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of verification.
If any shortlisted candidate fails to submit the documents as stated above, his candidature shall be rejected summarily.
No exemption of fees is available to the SC / ST candidates of other states.
Neither any claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be reassigned for any other examination under any circumstances whatsoever.
Applications not accompanied with the requisite application and / or processing fees shall be rejcetd summarily.
Payment of Application and / or Processing fees can be made online through payment gateway by using Debit Cards / Credit Cards / Net Banking of any bank. Fees can also be paid through different e-wallets and Bharat QR and UPI app.
An amount of Rs.5 only will be charged by the agency concerned as "Service Charge" for availing Debit Cards / Credit Cards / Net Banking /E-wallet / other app facility.

Upload scanning documents of Photograph and Signature.
Pay the application fee.
Verify & Submit.
Take a print out of application form.

Application window for submitting application through online or downloading of offline application form with printed challan of United Bank of India / India Post will remain operative for the period from 5th February 2019 to 5th March 2019 (5 pm). However the last date of depositing application and / or Processing Fee only in respect of online application using United bank odf India challan, will be 07.03.2019.
